Greetings Breakfast Lovers!
First order of business is that Andy Pankakes and the Butterball Trio (I just made that up whaddya think?), featuring Josh Lipp on Guitar/Bass and Lisa Marie on Vocals/Auxilliary Percussion, will be performing this Saturday, October 3, from 3-4pm, at Captain Dame Porch, 321 Main St, Santa Cruz as part of the inaugural Santa Cruz Porch Fest.
Anyways you may notice that things are looking a little different here… a little more stark perhaps; utilitarian, one might say. Industrial? That’s a stretch.
Ok begin rant here: I decided that ~$30 a month was too much to pay for my (marginally) beautiful Wix website and so I started to look for cheaper alternatives. At the same time, MailChimp changed their protocol to 250 free subscribes instead of 500 for their free account, rendering my whopping 403 subscribers above the limit. Not wanting to pay however much that cost I went looking for a new Mailing List provider. Well I found Beehiiv which has a free website builder and mailing list up to 2500 subscribers. Unfortunately, the web builder is pretty limited and doesn’t do what I need it to so I’m gonna need to find another. What I would usually do from that point is get frustrated and avoid anything related to Websites/Newsletters for the next several months. I was well on my way to doing that when I realized, “Hey I can just send an email out, even if it’s not pretty.” So that’s what I’m doing, End Rant.
Ok with that mental hairball expelled, we can get back to our regular breakfast programming. Not too much to report here:
I’m working on a new EP which I’ll start recording in October at Hippie Cowboy Studios with Joe Kaplow.
I’ve got a music video for Too Many Songs that’s almost done but is stalled in the editing phase.
I have the next Roundhouse Sessions video pretty much edited but haven’t released yet (in typical fashion), featuring Lola and Kai Guthrie (brother/sister folk duo extraordinaire)
I’ve started writing/editing down my memoirs from Cross Country Tour, which I took down as audio notes while on the road.
Ok that’s all folks. Next time I’ll shoot for more breakfast related content
